Gertrude Lorraine Mills Chafin, 92, of Huntington, WV, died Wednesday November 17, 2010 in the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House. Gertrude was born March 10, 1918 in Huntington, WV a daughter of the late Lee Roy & Ruth B. Coffman Powers. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Byron Logan Mills & her 2nd husband Robert Chafin and one brother Roy Richard Powers.

She was retired from the former 20Th Street Bank in the new accounts department. She was a member of the Fifth Avenue Baptist Church.

Survivors include
a daughter & son-in-law, Judy & Terry Blevins of Huntington,
a sister & brother-in-law, Joan & Harold Sawyers of Florida,
a brother & sister-in-law John & Alice Powers of McCormick, SC,
a granddaughter, Jennifer Blatt & husband Michael of Huntington,
two great-grandchildren, William Ayden & Grace Anne Blatt special friends at the auxiliary of Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Funeral service was at Chapman's Mortuary Huntington with Dr. Allen Reasons officiating. Burial in Woodmere Memorial Park.
