Mrs. Gertrude L. Certain Bohland, 85, of 500 Bryan, Danville died at 12:30 pm Saturday (June 26, 1971) at the Vermilion Nursing Home.


Born Oct. 13, 1885 in Fairmount, she was married to James Metcalf in 1905. He preceded her in death in 1919. In 1947 she was married to Frank Bohland who preceded her in death in 1959. A son, three daughters, and a brother preceded her in death.


Surviving include three daughters, Mrs Russell (Jessie) Harrier of Catlin, Mrs. Everette (Esther) Miller of Westville, and Mrs. Chester (Mary) Marrow of Danville; eight grand Children, three stepgrandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.


Mrs. Bohland was an employe of the Stewart Rug Co. in Danville until her retirement.


Services will be at 2 pm Monday (June 28, 1971) at Urbas Funeral Home in Westville with Rev. Don C. Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Davis Cemetery west of Fairmount.
