CECIL, ELSIE 87, of Oneida, Tenn., died December 25, 1996, at the Baptist Hospital in Knoxville, Tenn. Born in Fentress County, Tenn., October 22, 1909, she was the daughter of G. B. and GERTIE IPOCK WILLIAMS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded also in death by her husband, CRAWFORD CECIL. She is survived by one son, JOE CECIL and wife, SANDRA; four grandchildren: LISA MOFFETT and husband, DANNY of Pioneer, Tenn.; ELIZABETH COFFEY and husband, CHRIS of Chapel Hill, N.C.; LUCINDA CECIL of Oneida, Tenn., and JACOB CECIL of Knoxville, Tenn.; two sisters, ELNA WELLS of Mulberry, Fla., and ULA SMITH of Oneida, Tenn.; three nieces, PAT NEWMAN of Nashville, Tenn., LINDA TAYLOR of Lakeland, Fla., and FRANCIS GALBRAITH of Westchester, Ohio; special friend, BRENDA CECIL of Oneida; and many other relatives. Funeral services were conducted December 29, 1996, in the Chapel of West–Murley Funeral Home with Revs. KENNETH PERKINS and BEN BALL officiating. Interment followed in the Hazel Valley Cemetery.
