Alfred was in the U.S. Navy for 22 years, serving in World War II and the Korean War. He was the canteen manager at Vacaville Prison for 10 years before joining Robin Aids. He retired and began to travel the United States in his fifth-wheel trailer with Dorothy, square dancing together along the way.
Alfred was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy; son, Walter and his wife Helen, and their children, Pamela, Jessie and Jenny; daughter, Teresa and her husband John, and their children, Kristy, Johnny and Christopher; son, Jim and his wife Donna, and their children, Jason, Natalie, Emily and Jared; daughter, Sandra and her children, Heather and Jamie; and 10 great-grandchildren. We will miss him.
