She was the daughter of the late Asa Milton and Mary Elizabeth Robinson Caudell.
She joined the Damascus Baptist Church in Banks County when she was 13 years old, but was presently a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church in Tucker. She moved to Atlanta in 1941, where she became a long-time employee with Rich's Department Store.
Mrs. Ayers was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Ayers.
She was a loving mother who would make any house a home, according to loved ones.
Survivors include children and spouses, Ann and Bobby Tidwell, Lawrenceville, Vern and Winnie Ayers, and Barbara and Gene Browning, all of Atlanta, and Steve and Karen Ayers, Buford; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Montine Wilson, Lawrenceville; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at Webbs Creek Baptist cemetery in Banks County.
