Doris Caudell Bowen, 92, of Fayetteville, GA went to her heavenly home on February 17, 2015.
Mrs Bowen grew up in North Atlanta where she met and married her husband of 72 years at North Atlanta Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bowen is a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.
She is preceded in death by her husband, retired Atlanta Batallion Chief Fred J. Bowen.
She is survived by her only child, Patricia Lovell Dotson (Robert) of Fayetteville, three grandchildren, Cindy (Greg) Hardin of Atlanta, Charles (Chuck) Guice of Fayetteville, Craig (Debbie) Guice of Griffin, and three great-grandchildren Justin Young, Jordan Guice, and Jayden Guice.
Mrs. Bowen will be laid to rest next to her late husband in Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Rev. Dennis Watson will officiate the graveside service on Friday, February 20, 2015 at 1:00 PM.
All attending the graveside service are asked to assemble at the main entrance to Westview Cemetery, 1680 Ralph David Abernathy SW, Atlanta, GA 30310 at 12:30 pm to travel in a procession to the gravesite for the service.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, GA.
