Robert Catron Sr.
Former Union Township resident Robert Warren Catron Sr., 67, of Bixler Aveue, Madison, Tenn., died March 26, 1998, in Nashville Memorial Hospital, Madison.

Born Dec. 26., 1930 in New Castle, he was the son of the late Jim and Helen Catron.

He was married to the former Virginia Mears. She survives.

Mr. Catron lived in this area until moving to Madison 24 years ago

He had worked as a machine operator.

In addition to his wife survivors include three sons. Michael W. Catron of New Castle, John Catron of Bessemer and Robert Catron Jr. of Franklin; four daughters, Susie Vitale of New Castle, Terri Hunter of Kentucky, Tina and Cathy Catron, both in Florida; three step children, Danny J. Hire of Madison, Melissa Newbern of Murfreesboro and Nina Dryer of Hendersonville, Tenn.; two brothers, Fred and Earnest Catron, both of New Castle; a sister, Marie Randall in Ohio; 14 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Arrangements were by the Hermitage Funeral Home in Madison , where services were conducted yesterday. Burial was in Hermitage Memorial Gardens.
