Louanna worked as a cook according to the 1920 census. Louanna Castleman married Fred Ceschlik in August 1920. That marriage seems to be over very soon after. Lee Roy remembered that his stepfather tried to smother him with a pillow and his mother stopped it and was beaten up. She took Lee Roy and fled.

He met my mother, Lillian, again in the early 1960s and they were both single. They married in 1962. They were happy for twelve years until her death. He married again in 1977.
