Barbara Ann Michalke Caster, 52, died at 4:08 AM Tuesday, Nov. 6, 1984, in Lafayette Home Hospital, following a year-long illness. Born Jan. 3, 1932, in Lafayette, she graduated from Montmorenci High School. She married Donald L. Caster on June 17, 1960, in Lafayette; he is an employee of Purdue University Memorial Union Building.

Mrs. Caster, a life resident of this area, had been employed as a housekeeper at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She formerly was employed at Indiana Veterans Home for five years.

Surviving with her husband are two daughters, Brenda (Mrs. Archie Gould) of Lafayette and Melody (Mrs. Michael) Chenoweth of Frankfort; two sons, Donald C. Caster and Jeffrey Caster, both of Lafayette; her mother, Mrs. Mabel Michalke of Lafayette; a brother, James Michalke of Thorntown; and four grandchildren.
