Helen was born into a very large family. Her father worked for a time as a motorman for the trolley system in Harrisburg and then as a farmer in Carroll Township, Perry County.

She was a school teacher in Perry County.

Her husband was an electrical contractor who also worked for the Reading Railroad.

Mrs. Helen S. Cassett Dies at New Bloomfield

A brother, Neil R. Shatto, of Palmyra, is among survivors of Mrs. Helen Shatto Cassett, wife of William P. Cassett of New Bloomfield R.D., who passed away Sunday at home

Aside from her husband and brother, she also leaves her mother, three children, three grandchildren, six other brothers and two sisters.
