She was the daughter of James Cassel and Mary Browder Cassel. She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, seven brothers (Garland, Howard, William, Charles, Jasper, Elbert, and Henry), two sisters (Ida and Lucille) and her husband of 54 years, Harry W. Anderson.
She was a graduate of Dwyer School of Business. She worked for L. Strauss & Company as an assistant of the Millinery Department until she retired in 1952.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra K. Walters (Glen), grandsons, Caleb, Timothy and James Walters, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
