Charles F. Cassat, 88, of the Salem Community, died at a local hospital Saturday morning. He was born Feb. 17, 1876 in Washington County the son of Peter and Rebecca Busey Cassat.
Survivors include three sons, Harold of Johnson, Lawrence of Salem, Ore. and Herman of Fort Smith; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Jack of Mission, Kan., Mrs. William Lewis of Fayetteville and Mrs. Thord Luper of Fort Smith; a sister, Mrs. Frank Dowell of Fayetteville and 14 grandchildren.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. at the Mount Comfort Church. Burial in Mount Comfort Cemetery under direction of the Watson Mortuary.
