John A. Casey, aged 72, a retired farmer and resident of Harrison for five years, died Sunday at his home in Harrison. He was born December 21, 18990 at Parthenon, a son of William U. and Nancy Farmer Casey.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rhonda Casey; two sons, Bill and Devoe Casey of Hamburg, Iowa, three step sons; four daughters, Mrs. Ellis Shelton of Farragut, Iowa, Mrs. Glyn Gabbard of St. Joseph, Mo., Mrs. Loyd Talor of Lowell, Mrs. Earl McArtor, of Parthenon; one step daughter; five brothers, Lattie Casey of Tulsa, Okla., Lendio Casey of Avoka, Okla., Lawrence Casey of Jasper, Lester Casey of Wayton, Lovel Casey of Pea Ridge; three sisters, Mrs. Amanda Phillips of Harrison, Mrs. Jenice Henderson of Wayton, Mrs. Hattie Martin of Maude, Okla.; 3 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
The funeral was held Oct. 29 at the Parthenon Baptist Church by Rev. Farmer Kelley and Rev. Paul Seymore with burial in Buffalo Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Otis Bosworth, Beal Brown, Robert Jones, C.G. Golden, Homer Wardlaw and Vernon Smith.
