Mr. Agustine "Gus" Casaus, 56, of Clovis, retired, died Friday, March 15, 2003, at his home.
He was born Oct. 16, 1946, in Fort Sumner, to Caldo and Rafelita Sena Casaus.
He graduated from Fort Sumner High School in 1967. He married Helen Roybal on Oct. 19, 1968, in Fort Sumner. The moved to Clovis in 1976. He joined the U.S. Army serving in the Vietnam War, Japan and Korea. He worked at Cannon Air Force Base in the Civil Service for the Transportation Squadron for 33 years. He attended Clovis Community College and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 25, life member of Disabled American Veterans, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Tony Casaus; and two nieces.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Alex Casaus and B.J. Casaus, both of Clovis; one daughter, Laura Casaus of Cloovis; three brothers, Gilbert Casaus (and wife, Ramona), Ernest Casaus (and wife, Crusita), all of Albuquerque, and Ruben Casaus (and wife, Carmen) of Tucumcari; one sister, Bessie Aragon of Albuquerque; and seven grandchildren.
A rosary is scheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Clovis.
Father Sotero Sena will officiate the services.
Burial will be at Fort Sumner Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cipriano and Ricky Mares, Gary Dorazia, Bobby Baca, Tony Romero and Billy Padilla.
Honorary bearers will be his grandchildren.
Arrangements are by Muffley Funeral Home of Clovis.
