Alma DeRouen Carver passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at the age of 89.

She was the wife of the late Harold J. Carver, Sr., mother of Lois Carver Hahn and the late Harold J. Carver, Jr., grandmother of Holly (John) Klos, Scott (Tracy) Hahn, David (Julie) Hahn, Dori (Norman) Cantrelle, Wendy (Roger) Schmitt, Colby (Stephanie) Hahn, Brett, Harold J., III, and Ashley Carver, sister of Earl (Catherine) DeRouen, also survived by 17 great grandchildren. Mrs. Carver, a native of Liberty, Texas and a lifelong resident of New Orleans, was preceded in death by her parents Dora Romero DeRouen and Sterling Joseph DeRouen, and six brothers: Charles, Sterling, Gordy, Lawrence, Elwood, and Arthur DeRouen.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the Chapel of the temporary location of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home (Lamana-Panno-Fallo), 1717 Veterans Memorial Blvd. at Bonnabel Blvd., Metairie, LA on Saturday, October 21, 2006 at 12:00 Noon. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 Noon. Interment will be in Metairie Cemetery.
