Frances Eloise Caruthers Holt, 65, died Monday, Oct. 20, 2003, at Williamson Medical Center. Mrs. Holt was born in Williamson County, daughter of the late William Horace and Mary Lou Ella Tidwell Caruthers, and made her home in Franklin. She was a Special Education teachers assistant at Hillsboro School for 20 years and a member of Leipers Fork Church of Christ. Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her husband, James Owen Holt Sr. Survivors include a son, James Owen Holt Jr. of Franklin; two daughters, Deirdree Holt of Spring Hill and Sherri (James) Wise of Franklin; and two sisters, Joyce (Ben) Bowman of Franklin and Shirley (Raymond) McCord of Thompsons Station. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Williamson Memorial Funeral Home with Jim Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Leipers Fork Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be James Wise, Todd Bowman, Greg Bowman, Ben Bowman, Raymond McCord, Keith Sands and Tommy Parker. Honorary pallbearers are the faculty and staff at Hillsboro Middle School.
