George was buried, along with five others, in a unmarked public grave... He was born in Colaton Raleigh, Devon and moved to Haverfordwest, Wales - to find work - where he married Florence Griffiths (buried in Hither Green Cemetery under the name Etherington). They moved to South London, where they had ten children, three of whom dies aged under one year. Buried 9th December 1909.
