Mrs. Joseph Aldrich

Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph (Hallie) Aldrich, 76, of Fergus Falls and formerly of Tintah were Monday morning at St. Gall's Catholic Church in Tintah with Rev. Frencis Hohn and Rev. Eberhard Schefers officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
She died Friday at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Casket bearers were Earl Carter, Elbert Cooper, Floyd Doty, Matt Enderle, Richard Hawes and Richard McClernon.
Hallie Carter was born February 14, 1898 at North English, Iowa to Ellsworth and Margaret (Claypool) Carter. She grew up and attended schools there until 1912 when the family moved to Lone Tree, Iowa, where she attended high school. The family later moved to a farm near Nashua.
She married Joseph Aldrich Nov. 19, 1919 at Tintah. The couple lived and farmed near Nashua for over 50 years. They had resided inn Fergus Falls for the past four years.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Slaybough of Lafeyette, Ind. and Mrs. John (Mary Lou) Enderle of Fergus Falls; a son Stanley of Austin, Minn; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Charlotte Seymour of Minneapoilis and a brother, J.B. Carter of Wheaton.
She was preceded in death by a son, David, her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
Joseph Vertin & Sons Funeral Home, Breckenridge, was in charge of arrangements.
