LA CENTER, Ky. -- Effie Mae Carter Adams, 91, of La Center died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, at Life Care Center in La Center. She was a member of First Baptist Church of La Center.
She is survived by one son, Dr. James Edgar Adams (1934-2010) and his wife, one daughter and her husband, one granddaughter, three grandsons, two great-grandsons, five great-granddaughters, one great-great-granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Adams, two brothers and three sisters. Her parents were Lokey and Jewell Carter.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, 2007, at Jones Funeral Home of La Center with the Rev. Mark Bond officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery
