Oct 19, 1919 - Sept 10, 2011 OKLAHOMA CITY Pauline was born to A.D. and Carrie Carter in Muskogee, OK. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Leo; daughters, Sue Bass and husband Don, Carolyn Korstjens and husband Bob, La Donna Hendzel, La Vonda Martin and husband Richard, Brenda Equigua and husband Vincent; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great- grandchildren; sister, Florine Klepper; sisters-in-law, Joann Carter, Jean Clinkenbeard and husband Wayne; brother-in-law, Charlie Godfrey; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; one brother; and grandson, Matthew Equigua. Pauline enjoyed quilting, sewing, and reading. She won the Golden Thimble Award for her sewing and Second Place Ribbon for a quilt she made and entered in the State Fair of Oklahoma in 1975. She loved attending Friendship P.H. Church and was very faithful in her attendance. She served as Youth Director, Sunday School and Women's Ministries Secretary-Treasurer, and Nursery Worker. For many years while her children attended Stand Watie and Jackson Jr. High, she was PTA Treasurer. We would like to especially thank Cristie and the staff at Meadowlake for the special care they gave to our Mother. Memorials may be made to Friendship P.H. Church. Family will be receiving friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Resthaven, OKC. Services will be Thursday, September 15th, at 10:00 a.m., Friendship Pentecostal Holiness Church, 11301 S.E. 104th, OKC. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
