Clara Bell NeSmith Carter was the daughter of the late William Henry and Missouri NeSmith who preceded her in death. She was a member of Northwoods Church of God. She was a lifetime homemaker caring for her husband, Otis, and two children, W. L. and Faye. She worked side by side with Otis in a family owned grocery store, Carter's Grocery, for over 40 years.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Otis Carter of 58 years. Also, preceded in death were great-granddaughter, Savannah Ramsey Singletary; brothers: Amos, Albert, and Randall NeSmith; sisters Estelle N. Benton, Nadine N. Tillman, Willie Mae N. Carter, Annie Ruth N. Wooten.
Mrs. Carter is survived by brother Howard NeSmith; son W.L. (Judy) Carter, daughter Faye Carter (Danny) Crosby, grandchildren Joel (Alicia) Carter, Lynn Carter (Greg) Arline; Rhonda Crosby (Ram) Singletary, and five great-grandchildren, Will and Ryan Carter, and Quinton, Tyler and Ellie Arline.
