Alpha Marie Carter, 80, of 1710 Brentwood Dr., died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis.
She was the widow of Oren Carter.
A native and lifelong resident of Anderson, she had been employed 41 years at Plant 10 Delco-Remy Division. She was a member of the Retirees Club, Senior Citizens Club and UAW Local 662.
Survivors include a son, James E. Parker of Anderson; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Knotts of Sarasota, Fla., Mrs. E. P Roberts of Albuquerque, N.M., Mrs Earl Boicourt of Sarasota. Fla.; a grandson, Thomas Parker of Muncie; three great-grandchildren.
FuneraI rites will be conducted Thursday at the Brown and Butz Funeral Home and burial will be in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends will be received at the mortuary today from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
