Jimmie, was a homemaker and a member of the Hatley Primitive Baptist Church. She was a member of the Mississippi/Alabama Coachman Camping Club. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking and camping.
Jimmie married Delray Carter in 1934; he died in 1993.
Services held at E.E. Pickle Funeral Home Chapel in Amory with Elder Tim Cunningham and Bro. Luke Riley officiating. Burial at Hatley Cemetery.
Survivors include one son, Shelby D. Carter of Aberdeen; one daughter, Donna C. Riley (Michael) of Amory; three grandchildren, Melanie Riley Stark, Lucas Michael Riley and Benjamin Thomas Riley; one great-grandchild, Thomas Michael Riley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter-in-law, Janet Cheek Carter; and nine siblings.
