Ada Baine Engle Carter, 91, entered into eternal life on Monday, July 22, 2013 in Abilene. Funeral services will be 3:00p.m. Thursday, July 25, 2013 in the Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Hwy 277 S., with Rev. Mike Woodard officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Memorial Park, directed by Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home, 5701 Hwy 277 South, Abilene. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2 to 3p.m. on Thursday before the service.
Baine was born in San Angelo, TX on May 26, 1922 to Ernst Bismarck Engle and Ada Clara Coleman. She was a member of Southwest Park Baptist Church and Sunday School Class Number 7. She will be remembered for her tireless devotion to God, to her family, and to her friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 64 years, Jesse Reagan Carter, Jr.; her parents; three brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include her sister, Vivid Engle Mitchell; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Rene Carter; many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
