Frances L. Carter, 79, 903 S. Prairie Street, Robinson, died about 4:50 p.m. Friday, Jan 5, 2001, at United Methodist Village, Lawrenceville, following several months of failing health.

Born Dec. 12, 1921, in Bond Township, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Fulmer Milton Conover and Bernice June Miller Conover. She was a homemaker and member of Zion United Methodist Church, rural Robinson, and Crawford County Home Extension.

On March 21, 1946, she married Ernest Wayne Carter, who preceded her in death on May 3, 1993. She married Jerald B. Lemeron, who preceded her in death in October 1944. Also preceding her in death wee her parents; a sister, Dixie Baker; great-grandson, Michael Chad Kohl; and a grandson-in-law, David Kopsky.

Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Tony and Nancy Carter, Steve Carter, all of Robinson, and Rod Carter and fiancé Molly Watts, Flat Rock; four daughters and sons-in-law, Pat and Ernie Kohn, Burton, Ohio, Karen and Bob Kaiser, Casa Grande, Ariz., Dee and Dave Aten, Robinson, and Rita and Fred Mehler, Hutsonville; a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. John and Lois Conover, Robinson; a sister and brother-in-law, Marybelle and Dale Crawford, Lawrenceville; 19 grandchildren, Jerry Kohl, Scott Kohl, Diane Kipsky, Suzanne Olson, Jeffrey Kaiser, Gina Lingafelter, Tim Aten, Joel Carter, Brady Carter, Adam Carter, Lee Midgett, Nikki Mehler, J.R. Mehler, Nathan Kilpatrick, Nicole Carter, Michael Carter, Tyler Watts, Travis Watts and A.J. Hays; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral is 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Pulliam Funeral Home, Robinson, with Rev. Jerry Pinkstaff officiating. Burial is in Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Visitation Is from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday and until service time Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association with envelopes available at the funeral home.
