Sharon Lee Carroll Barnes, age 63, went home to be with the Lord, Friday March 3, 2006 at St. Ann's Medical Center. Member of Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church. Retired from the State of Ohio - Department of Liquor Control. Predeceased by parents Aaron and Bessie Smith Carroll. Survived by loving children: sons, Deacon Geoffrey L. (Tamera) Barnes, Sr. and Kevin I. (Monica) Barnes; daughter, Dorcas S. Barnes; brother, Aaron L. Carroll, Sr.; sisters, Rita C. Carroll, Columbus and Sondra K. Carroll, East Moline, ILL; special aunt, Esther Yarbrough; uncles, George and Carl Smith; former husband and best friend, Donald E. Barnes; spiritual daughter, Nina Billue; son-in-law to be, Jimmy D. Mitchell; 6 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, including favorite nephew, Keith L. Carroll; cousins, other relatives, and friends, including lifetime and best friend, Bernadine Harden Singleton. Homegoing Celebration 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, 2006 at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, 2283 Sunbury Rd. Dr. Donald J. Washington, officiating.
