Graveside service: 9 a.m. Thursday in Oaklawn Cemetery in Decatur.
Edda was born April 15, 1925, in Decatur to Gilbert George and Annie Frankie Spain Carr. She married G.H. "Bob" Arrington on Nov. 29, 1941, in Decatur. Edda and Bob owned Bob & Edda's Red Wing Shoe Store in Decatur for 38 years. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Decatur.
Survivors: Her daughter, Ann Sims Logue of Decatur; granddaughter, KaSondra Hughes of Decatur; grandsons, David and Danny Sims of Decatur; great-grandchildren, Breanne Fernighough, Russell Sims and Courtney and Chelsea Hughes; and great-great-grandchildren, Madelyn Fernihough and Bailee Sims.
