Agnes L. Troxel was born February 25, 1886, in Indian Territory (what is now Oklahoma), daughter of John Washington Troxel and Nancy Cathern Stultzs. In 1904 in Oklahoma, Agnes married Edwin Carr, who was born January 20, 1877, in Bedford, Ohio (Meigs County), son of George Norman Carr and Susan Rosaltha Young.

In 1910, Agnes, age 24, and Edwin, age 32, a farmer, were living in Noble, Oklahoma (Cleveland County), with their two children: Ruby, age 5, and Etta, age 2, both born in Oklahoma.

Agnes died on February 20, 1917, in Oklahoma, and was buried in the Mars Hill Cemetery in Saint Louis, Oklahoma (Pottawatomie County). Edwin's death date and burial place is unknown at this time.
