Willa Marie Carpenter, 85, of North Kansas City, MO, entered her heavenly home on August 27, 2013 with her loving family at her side. She was born to Virgil J. and Hazel Woods May 17, 1928 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated in 1946 from North Kansas City High School as a member of the National Honor Society, and attended Central Missouri State University. Marie was a long time officer of the Union Pacific Old Timers Association and was active in the class of "46" high school reunion committee. She was
preceded in death by her parents and infant sister as well as the love of her life, Leroy C. Carpenter. She held a successful career in Real Estate sales for over 40 years. Marie was the loving mother of Patti M. (Blair) Fedo (Greg) Lake Tapawingo, MO, Janice E. (Blair) Fugate (Gary), Kansas City, David K Blair (Maureen), Yorba Linda, CA, and Phillip J. Blair (Georgia) Osceola, MO. She was also an adoring grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 21. Visitation will be held at White Chapel, Gladstone, Mo from 12-2 PM Friday August 30, 2013 with services at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Crossroads Hospice, www.crossroadshospice.com or Alzheimer's Federation of America, www.afzfdn.org.
