"Jeff" Jeffrey Thomas Carpenter, 41, of Flemingsburg, passed away suddenly Monday morning, November 18,2013.

Born in Flemingsburg on August 12, 1972, Jeff was the son of William T. "Tommy" and Connie Ann Fritz Carpenter.

A 1990 graduate of Fleming County High School, Jeff was employed with Cheap's Chevrolet since 1999. He was a member of the New Creation Praise and Worship Center where he was recently baptized. He truly loved his church family.

Jeff was always a great athlete, particularly in baseball. He helped coach his son's peewee football team as well as his t-ball team. An avid UK fan and Panther fan, Jeff loved to cook, especially for his church where he was known as the "grill master". Jeff love his community and supported it in many ways and will be missed by all.

Besides his parents, he is survived by: his son, Trey Thomas Carpenter, companion, Tonya Meade; sister, Amy Catherine Carpenter of Paris; a brother, Andrew Fritz (Linda) Carpenter of Flemingsburg; he was "Uncle Puff" to Andrew Tyler Carpenter, Jonathan "Jack" Fritz Carpenter and Sophia Caterina Carpenter; also survived by Tonya's children, Brittney (Kyle) Bjorkland, Derrick and Nathan Goodman. He was preceded in death by an infant sister, Rebecca Ann Carpenter; maternal grandparents, Torrence "June" and Emma "Kay-Kay" Vice Fritz; paternal grandparents, Carl Fleming and Anna Marie Coffey Carpenter.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 pm Friday, November 22, 2013 at the Flemingsburg Christian Church. Pastor David Eldridge and Pastor Mike Ishmael officiated. Interment was in the Fleming County Cemetery.
