She was born in Burns, and lived in Canisteo and Hornell all of her life.
Surviving besides her husband, Fred E., are a daughter, Genevieve Smith, at home, one grandson, three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Hess of Canaseraga, Mrs. Robert Moore of Canisteo and Mrs. Richard Tinker of Hornell, two brothers, Kenneth H. Carnes of Swain and Lyle Carnes of Hornell.
Friends may call at the Crandall and Crandall Funeral Home in Hornell Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Ralph Wagner, of the First Baptist Church in Hornell, officiating. Burial is to be in the Hillside cemetery, Canisteo.
