Kent P. Carnal, 50, of Henderson, passed away Feb. 18, 2011. He was born July 23, 1960, in Farmington, N.M. Kent grew up in Gallup, N.M. He worked in the family parts business and with his brother in the jewelry business prior to relocating to Nevada, 12 years ago, to pursue his lifelong passion in the boating industry. He received many sales awards and national recognition for his sales achievements. His customer list included people from all walks of life and from all parts of the world. According to Candace Nelson of the Marine Center, his boat deliveries included Nigeria, South America, Lebanon, and coast to coast in the U.S. He was married in 2007 to Patricia West. He was preceded in death by his father, Vance W. Carnal; mother, Gloria Howes; sister, Ruth A Oates; and brother, Jeffrey Carnal. Kent is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, Matthew Touchin of Albuquerque, and Taylor of Henderson; daughter, Savannah of Henderson; brother, Michael Carnel (Dawn) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and nieces, Amanda, Anna and Crystal. Funeral at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 25, at Palm Mortuary Chapel, 800 S. Boulder Hwy., Henderson, NV 89015.
