Services for A. Nadine Phillippo, 80, of Bethany, were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Bethany. Burial was in Marrowbone Township Cemetery in Bethany. She died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 24, 1998 in St. Mary's Hospital in Decatur. Mrs. Phillippo was born March 13, 1918 in Shelby County, the daughter of Julius Russell and Maude Ellen Lee Carlyle. She was a retired cook for the
Bethany Grade School and a member of the United Methodist Church in Bethany. She married Ansell Phillippo Jan. 7, 1937 in Albion, and he died Dec. 4, 1979. Survivors include a son, Larry Phillippo and wife Barbara of Fisher, Ind.; daughters, Karen Miller and husband Dan of Bethany and Brenda Woolridge and husband Mike of Sullivan; grandchildren, Angie Clem and husband Brad of Atlanta, Ga., Tony Miller of Bethany, Matt Phillippo and wife Amy of Providence, R.I., Kasey Mowry and husband Rob of Bethany, Alicia Woolridge and Cale Woolridge, both of Sullivan, and John Phillippo of Lafayette, Ind.; and her special little guy, great-grandson Nichael Mowry of Bethany. She was preceded in death by one brother, her parents and her husband. Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Bethany.
