Tressie Bess passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2008 in Auburn. She was 93.
Tressie was a long time resident of Fair Oaks, Calif., and more recently of Newcastle, Calif.
Tressie was preceded in death by her husband, James Henry Bess of 68 years. She is survived by one son, James L. Bess (Patricia) of Auburn; granddaughter, Debra L. Rife (Rich) of Colfax; grandson, Randall Bess (Nelly) of Waikanae, New Zealand; great-grandson, Jeromey R. Cayton (Patricia) of Auburn; great-granddaughter, Jamiey L. Emmans (Andrew) of Colfax; great-grandson, Jordan A. Gonzales (Stephanie) of Colfax and Loomis; great-great-grandchildren, Isaiah R. Emmans, Tristen G. Emmans, Ethan A. Emmans, Claire I. Emmans and Kylie A. Cayton; brother, Noble Carlton of Newcastle; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will take place on Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 2-4 p.m. at Chapel of the Hills. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 28, 2008 at 1 p.m. with interment following at the New Auburn Cemetery.
