Lillian Cecilia Long Carlton age 74, passed away on February 15, 2009 at her residence. She was born December 22, 1934 in Ocala, FL. She was a life-long resident of Hawthorne, FL. She was a business owner, a nurse and a pilot. She enjoyed fishing and loved her dog, Ruffle. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, W.K. Carlton; oldest son, Richard Carlton; son, Michael Carlton; brother, Bernard Long and grandson, Scott.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie Anne Carlton and Cynthia Marie; son Paul (Theresa) Carlton of Gainesville; sisters, Linda Kendrick Hodges and June Glattli; 8 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 20, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Hwy 301 South and burial will follow at Hawthorne Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 19, 2009 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS HAWTHORNE FUNERAL HOME, HWY 301 SOUTH AT LAKE AVENUE.
