Rose Marie Benjamin, age 75 years of Fremont, NE died Friday, March 11, 2011 at Fremont Area Medical Center.

She was born January 28, 1936 at West Point, NE to Anton and Cecilia (Bittrich) Carlson. She grew up at Lyons, NE and graduated from Lyons High School in 1955. She moved to Fremont in 1955 and worked at Campbell's Soup Company for about 5 years before she was a mother and homemaker. She volunteered at Low Income Ministry for several years.

Rose Marie Carlson married Arden Benjamin November 22, 1958 at Fremont, NE.

She was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Fremont, NE.

Survivors include: husband Arden; son Ricky Benjamin of Rio Rancho, NM; daughters - Debra Carnahan and Diana and husband Terry Bray all of Fremont, NE; sister-in-law - Jean Carlson of San Diego, CA; 7 grandchildren Melissa, Christy and Tim Carnahan, Kristin and Nicholas Benjamin and Amanda and Justin Bray.

She is preceded in death by: parents; and brother - Richard Carlson.

Memorial service will be 10:30 A.M., Tuesday, March 15, 2011 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont, NE. The Rev. Bill Bowers will officiate. There will be a book signing Monday, March 14, 2011 from 9-5 at Moser Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Ridge Cemetery, Fremont.

Memorials may be directed to Low Income Ministry.
