Stanley Allen Carlson, 61, of Gothenburg, passed away on February 27, 2010, in Lincoln, NE. He was born on August 18, 1948 to Herbert and Marilyn (Nelson) Carlson at North Platte, NE.

Stanley attended school at District 87, 81R and graduated from Gothenburg High School in 1967 and attended Central Nebraska Tech in Hastings. Stan enlisted in the Navy in 1968 and was inducted in 1969. On July 5, 1971 he married Madeline Collins at the Evangelical Free Church in Gothenburg, NE. Stanley and Madeline lived in Gothenburg, NE.

Stan worked as a Dispatcher in Konica Industries. He later worked as a Product Associate at Cabela's. He was a Certified BBQ Judge which is a National certification. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping. His specialty was cooking meats on his Traeger grill.

Stan is survived by his loving spouse Madeline, mother, Marilyn Carlson of Gothenburg, brother-in-law - Henry Collins of Eureka, CA, and many cousins and friends.

e was preceded in death by father, Herbert Gustaf Carlson, grandparents, Albin and Hildur Carlson and C. Oscar and Lottie Nelson.
