Joan C. Baugh of Concord, CA passed away peacefully at the age of 80, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Logan, Utah, Joan met and married her high school sweetheart. They spent 59 years together and raised 2 children. She worked for the Contra Costa County Schools as Assistant Director of Personnel as well as the Mt. Diablo Unified School District for over 25 years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Concord 2nd Ward as well as the Concord Jayceettes. Joan enjoyed ceramics, knitting, reading and many other hobbies. She was always willing to help others when needed and will truly be missed.
Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Clyde Baugh. She leaves behind her devoted children and spouses, Shellie (Ron) Baugh Jensen and Ric (Janet) Baugh. She will always be remembered by her grandchildren, Jared (Lacie) Jensen, Denise, Mitch, Kristen, Trent Baugh and great granddaughters Saylor and Willow.
Visitation for Joan will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2013, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1590 Denkinger Road, Concord, CA. She will be laid to rest at Logan City Cemetery in Utah.
