Mrs. Carlisle was born on August 13, 1920 in Rome, GA. A long-time Baptist, she was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Rome, and a current member of Unity Baptist Church in Bonaire where she was very active in the senior’s class. In addition to being a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she began her career in Rome, Georgia at the Celeanse Corporation. She retired from Floyd County Medical Center where she worked as a bookkeeper. In her retirement she continued working as a bookkeeper for several nursing homes in the Rome area. In 2000, she made Bonaire her home and was a part- time office assistant at Wellston Decorating.
Her husband, Noah Benjamin Carlisle, her parents, Edward Alexis Harrison and Nannie Ethel Smith Harrison, her siblings, Morris Harrison, Irene Harrison Tate, Edith Harrison Porter, Edward A. Harrison, Jeanette Harrison Haynes, Ora Lee Harrison Carlisle, Ola Mae Harrison, Dorothy Louise Harrison Swanson, and Spencer Harrison, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her children, James and Lynda Carlisle, Temple; Ethel Delores Luci, Rome; Charles and Marie Carlisle, Rome; Ann and Don Brooks, Bonaire; eight grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren, niece, Sharon Louise Whitman, Bonaire; as well as many other special nieces and nephews.
