Bertha was born Aug. 13, 1932, in Middlesboro, Ky., to Calvin and Eliza (Robertson) Carey.
Bertha was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family. She proudly received her GED at the age of 77 through Sandusky High School. In her spare time she enjoyed baking cakes, ceramics, and making delicious soups.
Bertha is survived by her husband, Ott Berry, whom she married Sept. 10, 1952; two sons, Ronald (Sara) Berry and Gary (Scarlett) Berry; daughter-in-law, Claudia "Wendy" Berry; five grandchildren, Melissa (Jason), Brian (Jordan), Eric (Jenna), Curtis (Andrea) and Benjamin (Katie); four great-grandchildren, Scout, Natalie, Liam and Carmen; sister-in-law, Siehl Guy; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
In addition to her parents, Bertha was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Berry; and eight siblings.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 1, until funeral services at 11 a.m., at Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1607 E. Perkins Ave., Sandusky, with Rev. William Wiswell presiding. Burial will follow in Milan Cemetery, Milan.
