Lillian M. (Lowe) Carey, 87, Kokomo, passed away at 2:56am, Friday, August 30, 2013, at Community Howard Regional Health. She was born October 13, 1925, in Clinton, Indiana to William Lawson and Elizabeth (Pell) Lawson. In August of 1942 she married James W. Lowe, and he preceded her in death February 14, 1991. She later married Donald L. Carey in July of 1994, and he preceded her in death February 15, 2010. She retired from Delco Electronics in 1986. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Kokomo. Lillian enjoyed doing word searches, watching golf, bowling, and gardening.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn and husband Bill Browning of Kokomo; son, Jim Lowe of Kokomo; son, Donald "Doc" and wife Andria of Kokomo; son, John Lowe of Kokomo; son, Tim Lowe of Kokomo; 26 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, and many great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Tremore, and a brother, Bubby Lawson.
Services will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday at Ellers Mortuary Webster Street Chapel, 3400 S. Webster Street, with Pastor Kerry Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call 4:00 – 8:00pm Tuesday at the mortuary.
