Consuelo Cardenas Alvarado, 89 passed away on January 27, 2014 surrounded by her family. She was born on March 23, 1924 in San Antonio. "Connie" was beloved by her family and all who called her friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and first husband who died in World War II. She is survived by her husband Carlos E. Alvarado Sr. and her children Cosme Frank Escobedo (Mildred), Ernesto Escobedo (Diana), Roberto Escobedo (Lupita), Anna Martinez (Noel), Cecilia Alvarado-O'Leary (Michael), Sylvia Schmidt (Bill), Carlos E. Alvarado Jr. (Yvette) , Eugene Alvarado (Cindy), Margaret Carmody (Daniel), she is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 3:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Castle Ridge Mortuary. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Henry's Catholic Church with interment to follow at San Fernando Cemetery No 2.
