DORIS CAPPS BELL,81, of Tomball went to be with the Lord on September 7, 2006. Doris was born in Corpus Christi, Texas on December 19, 1924 and was a life long resident of Tomball, Texas. She served as a volunteer at Tomball Regional Hospital for 27 years, having provided more than 14,000 hours of volunteer services. She is preceded in death by husband Tom Bell and son Richard Bell and was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbor. Doris is survived by daughters Tommie Maynard and Doris Merrifield, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, 907 Hicks Street in Tomball, with interment following at Klein Memorial Park-Highway 249. For those desiring, contributions in Doris' memory may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Building Fund.
