ISLAND -- Jane Bolton, 82, of Island went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2017, at her home. Alice Jane Capps was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Muhlenberg County to the late Elmer and Fronnie Mae Gish Capps and was married to David Daniel Bolton on Dec. 20, 1952. Jane was a life-long homemaker, earlier worked as a relief worker at the Island Post Office, and was a former Red Cross Volunteer. She was a member of Island Baptist Church where she enjoyed being active as the church secretary, teaching Sunday School, and Youth Training Union.

Jane was also preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, David Bolton; a son and his wife, Jeff and Carol Bolton of Island; a daughter, Beth Ann Bolton of Calhoun; four grandchildren, Brandy Conrad and her husband Trent of Sacramento, David Hicks and his wife Cary of Livermore, Austin Kidd of Lexington, and Anne Shelby Kidd of Bowling Green; three great-grandchildren, Fisher Hicks, Wallace Hicks, and Kendall Conrad; a brother E.G. Capps of Greenville; a sister Betty Pannell of Hartford; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Muster Funeral Homes, Livermore Chapel with the Rev. Chad Rafferty officiating. Burial will be in the Island Community Cemetery in Island. Friends may visit with Jane's family from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday and from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Musters in Livermore.
