Mrs. Margaret Elise Cane Mullikin, widow of Robert F. Mullikin, Sr., passed away peacefully at Clemson Downs, April 12, 2016.
Born February 21, 1919 in the Oakway Community of Oconee County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Wisber and Bessie Clyde Gray Cain. Mrs. Mullikin was a member of Six & Twenty Baptist Church where she was a former choir member and adult ladies Sunday school teacher. She was a registered nurse and worked as a public health nurse in Anderson. Mrs. Mullikin was a nurse at Anderson Hospital, Clemson Downs and also worked for Dr. Collins and Dr. Camp in Anderson and Dr. Hunter in Clemson.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha “Mopsy” Mullikin, sons: Bobby Mullikin (Sandi) and Dr. Jim Mullikin (Betty); five grandsons: Frankie Mullikin (Diana), Rev. heath Mullikin (Karen), Seth Mullikin, Trey Mullikin and Graham Mullikin; five great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Helen Mullikin. She was preceded in death by brothers, Derrel Cain, Dewitt Cain, sisters: Alice Glass, Tommie Stevens and a stillborn twin.
Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday April 14 at Six & Twenty Baptist Church. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:45 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to the service.
