She lived a quiet, peaceable and industrious life until death claimed her as his trophy until the resurrection of the dead. She was a member of the Baptist church and claimed a fellowship in that church. For many months she had complained of a pain in her eye and head. She died of typho-malarial fever, August 9th 1888. The funeral was conducted in the M. E. church, at Little River, Rev. J.A. H. Wilson officiating. The prayers and sympathy of the community are extended to her only child and son who remains to mourn the sad loss of a mother.
