Daughter of James T. and Martha Stillman Campbell, she never married, lived at RD 3 Franklin, died in Franklin Hospital of myocardial degeneration, bronchial pneumonia, and general arteriosclerosis, per death certificate 083231-65, whose informant was Mr. J. T. Campbell of Franklin. Buried Aug 28 1965.

Franklin News-Herald, Thursday, Aug 26 1965:
Miss Martha Elizabeth "Bess" Campbell, 80, died at 12:30 pm yesterday in Franklin Hospital, where she was admitted at 6 am. She was born in Franklin May 4, 1885, daughter of James T. and Martha Stillman Campbell.

She had been in failing health for some time, and had been at Pleasant Acres Convalescent Home since July 3, 1962. She was educated in Franklin schools and at St. Margaret's Seminary in Waterbury, CT, and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are a niece, Mrs. Thomas A. Brown of Langhorne, PA; a grand-niece, Mrs. harry T. Brown of New York City; a grandnephew, Thomas Campbell Brown of Cranberry, NY.

Services will be at 1:30 pm Saturday at Buchanan-Schmidt Funeral Home with Rev. Adolph Kunen, her pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Franklin Cemetery.
