SOUTH BEND - Dorothy I. Campbell, 85, passed away at 8:20 AM Wednesday, January
7, 2009, in Regency Place of South Bend. She was employed at Qualex, retiring in
1993 after more than 20 years of service. She was born on November 14, 1923, in
Mishawaka, IN, to Harold and Lillian (Rose) Shetterly, and remained a lifelong
resident. Her husband, Charles Campbell, preceded her in death on January 27, 1969.
Mrs. Campbell is survived by her son, Larry Campbell of Granger; son-in-law, Mac
McNoldy; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and her sister, Rexetta
(William) Deethart of Mishawaka. Her daughter, Jill McNoldy, a sister, Doris Neely, and
a brother, Bill Shetterly, all preceded her in death. Funeral services will be held at
11:00 AM Friday, January 9, in the Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka
Ave., South Bend, IN, where friends may visit from 4 to 7 PM today and one hour prior
to services on Friday in the funeral home. Graveside services and burial will follow at
Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend, IN. Contributions in memory of Dorothy I. Campbell
may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 6415 Castleway W Drive, Suite 114,
Indianapolis, IN 46250.
