CAMPBELL, DR. ERVIN MORRIS OBITUARY: Natchez Democrat Newspaper, Thursday morning May 18, 1944. Concordia Parish pays tribute to one of it's leading physicians, officials and citizens and mourns the death of Dr. Ervin Morris Campbell who passed away on Tuesday. Friends from throughout the parish with whom Dr. Campbell was so long associated will gather at the Methodist Church in Ferriday at three o'clock this afternoon for the funeral services conducted by Rev. John H. Sewell, assisted by Rev. J. H. Hamilton with special music by the choir. Dr. Campbell was born in Jackson Parish La., in 1875. He was married to Miss Lucille Cordell of Winnsboro in 1910 and they established their residence in Ferriday in March, 1927. The three sons of Dr. Campbell will be unable to attend his funeral for they are in the armed services - William Cordell Campbell and Charles Morris Campbell are serving in the South Pacafic, while the third, Russell Ervin Campbell is stationed in San Diego. Dr. Campbell is survived by his brothers and sisters, Albert C. Campbell, Pioneer, La., John P. Campbell, Oak Grove, La., Iley Campbell, Angolia, La., Mrs. Frances Fowler, Oak Grove, La., Mrs. Elizabeth McGrew, Pioneer, La., Mrs. A. Roberts, Texas. The following will serve as pall bearers at the funeral which will be in charge of Young's Funeral Home; W. M. Heckler, E. W. Vogt, Dr. A. B. Brown, R. C. Murray, C. T. Jones, J. T. Jacobs, Ralph Henderson and L. C. Vance. Interment will be made in the City Cemetery in Natchez.
