Edna Mae Alford, 71, of Scottsville, passed from this life on May 21, 2017. She was born on September 3, 1945, to the late Richard and Lucy Coffee Campbell, and she was married to Billy Alford for 28 years.

In addition to her parents, Edna was preceded in death by her son, Vernon Lawhorne.

She is survived by her husband, Billy; three sons, Neal Lawhorne and his wife, Vicky of Charlottesville, Rodney Lawhorne and his wife, Beverly of North Garden, and Alfred Lawhorne; one granddaughter, Kristin DeFay; and one great-granddaughter, Sydney DeFay.

A funeral service will be conducted on Friday, May 26, 2017, at 12 p.m.at Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville, with a burial to follow at Culpeper National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening, May 25, 2017,from 6 until 8 p.m.
